The Tarndale Slip is the biggest slip in the southern hemisphere and is located approx. 40km north of Gisborne. Originally the Tarndale slip covered an area of over 40 hectares. Nowadays parts of that area had been reclaimed by forest.
Please note: Unfortunately, the access road to the Tarndale slip is closed. There is no possibility to visit the Tarndale slip at the moment. (last updated: 14.12.2018)
