The Titirangi Domain also known as Kaiti Hill is one of the most important sightseeing spots in Gisborne. You can climb the hill either by foot, by bike or by car. On the way up you will find several lookouts with amazing views over the Poverty Bay, the harbor and Gisborne, a playground, a World War II gun emplacement, a fitness course and different picnic areas.

The Titirangi Domain is also Important from an historical point of view. In 1769 Captain Cook and his crew, the first Europeans, came ashore near Titirangi. Furthermore, on the Titirangi Domain was an ancient Maori settlement.
